The Mt. Stirling Alpine Winter Camp is located at an altitude of 1500mts, in the permanent winter snow zone, 3.5 kilometres from Telephone Box Junction. The Camp is located in the Stirling Cross Country Ski Trail, within the snow gum forest on a sheltered clearing known as the Cricket Pitch.
The camp comprises of a large central Teepee with a warming potbelly stove for social activites and dining, surrounded by 7 accommodation tents.All tents are on raised platforms with insulated flooring and includes camping stretchers, insulated underlay and warm blankets.
A 4-burner gas cooktop, washing up facilities and water is provided in the guest shelter and composting toilets adjacent to the camp.
